A 75 year old California and part time Kihei resident. Anybody know more about this?

I sailed in Kanaha yesterday. It got very windy ,gust to high 30's and knarly in the afternoon. Someone this morning said he had a heart attack, but I didn't get any more information.

My condolences to the family.

Seems like the reports of this nature are getting more frequent. Something to be expected I suppose from a sport that is dominated by baby boomers.

Winston was a great guy. During the summesr he liked to ride his bike to play tennis every morning in Kihei, and then often windsurfed at Lower Kanaha in the afternoon. I believe that he spent his winters in the mountains as a skier. He just got a new knee in the past year which was working out great for him.
Always smiling and laughing; he will be missed.

We played tennis many times next to Winston, occasionally with him. Agree; always smiling, happy, loved the outdoors and an active lifestyle. Somewhat shocking to hear of this bad news. We will miss him.

Any photos? I know a lot of the Kanaha sailors by nickname and face.
Thanks, Bull
