Just got back from a week at Sailboards Vacation. Had a great time! Sailed mostly a 5.5 (I weigh 180lbs.), also a 5.0 and an 8.0 the last day (first time). I wave sail mostly at home, but the water was beautiful, warm like a bath tub, the food was outstanding and the wife loved it.
Vela has better equipment, JPs etc., but theyre more expensive and lack the free breakfast every morning, as well as the comraderie of the group at Sailboard Vacations.
I sailed all the way to the California Lighthouse on several occasions, and while it was strictly slalom sailing, it was a blast.
I highly recommend it for the no brainer trip and an all around relaxing time. |

I agree. Have been there many times and the end of my trip was the beginning of last week so probably met you. Heard that the wind shut down on Saturday for the first time this year--must have been when you used the 8.0. Sharon (the mature blonde) |

When is the best time of the year? How is August? Do you fly through Miami? |

According to Sailboard Vacations brochure, June-July is the best time. American Air has US Customs in Aruba so you avoid the delay stateside. Ive flown through Miami, San Juan, and Atlanta to get there. |
