Our small but dedicated group of sailors at CJ Brown Reservoir in Springfield, Ohio, is trying to get an iwindsurf wind sensor installed at the reservoir. This is a great venue for windsurfing: a 2000 acre lake with a high dam, allowing for good air flow across the water. In the last week we were on 6.2 meter sails one day, and 5.0s another two days!

Information of CJ Brown Reservoir and Dam:

As sailors, you understand the importance of a good up-to-the-minute wind report. You need that information to decide if you can sail, and what sail to rig. Currently at CJ Brown we must rely on a sensor at an airport far from the lake. If we could have an iwindsurf sensor installed at the lake, it would give us much more accurate information about current wind on the water.

Weatherflow, the firm that operates iwindsurf, will install a wind sensor at our sailing site if we can provide enough new iwindsurf members at the Pro level. Pro level memberships cost $9.99 per month. Currently we are just a few members short of the number they need. Here's the deal: anyone who joins iwindsurf as a new Pro level member and designates our location when joining will count toward our membership goal. It doesn't matter where you live--when you join, you get all the benefits of membership and access to all the iwindsurf sensors throughout the U.S. And here's the kicker: you will need to provide your credit card number to iwindsurf when you join, BUT YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED UNTIL THE SENSOR IS INSTALLED. Until then, you are essentially getting all the live wind reports from any iwindsurf sensor for free--the moment you sign up! I don't know how long it will take for just a few new members to sign up for the CJ Brown sensor, but for a time your membership will be free.

Remember, this deal only holds for NEW iwindsurf Pro level members. If you are already a Pro member, you know how great it is to get those up-to-the-minute wind reports from your favorite sensor, but you need to be a new member to help us.

So please, help us get a wind sensor, and help yourself to all the benefits of an iwindsurf Pro level membership, which will be free for some time. If you have been sitting on the fence about getting a full iwindsurf membership, this is the time to join.

When you sign up, you must use this link:

http://www.iWindsurf.com/cjbrown

That gives our sensor credit for your membership, and your credit card will not be charged until the sensor is installed

Thank you and good winds!

PS I have no affiliation with iwindsurf, other than being a member. I am just a guy who is passionate about windsurfing and sharing the joy with others.

OK....we need only a handful more pro-level memberships associated with our location to get an iwindsurf wind sensor. If you are on the fence about getting a membership, this is a great deal for you. You sign up using that link, provide iwindsurf with your credit card info, and you instantly get access to all the iwindsurf sensors in the country......BUT your card doesn't get charged until our sensor is installed! You know how much you want current wind readings at your home water or in the Gorge or NC if you are traveling this summer.

It's a 1-year commitment (see the fine print) at $9.99/month, but well-worth it. AND IT'FREE until they install the sensor--it could be months!

Thanks,
Marc
