I'm going to guess they drop the 6.4 and 6.8 Elite because we have an updated 5 batten in those sizes (Zeta)
Btw, for anyone who hasn't tried the Elite yet, for me, one of the wonderful things about it is, it does away with the twitchy feel you often find in 5 batten small sails. They feel like your favorite sail in all sizes. |

twitchy can be tuned out with the right mast and tension.
most people don't get lots of practice and/or days with little stuff to be equipped nor experienced to get some stuff right.
too much down haul on a rubber mast makes for twitchy. so it does with too stiff a mast as well. i have argued this endlessly with those that insist RDM's are right for them.
number of battens does determine stability. not a direct analogy: stable vessels are those that quickly return to the even keel position. intuitively, those that do not know this capsize their vessels that react more slowly.
ever notice that some that do not subscribe to the ezzy philosophy do not come in and rig down with every change in wind? how often have you watched me keep sailing the same stuff while i've seen you rush in to rig down then get underwhelmed when the temporary spikes dwindle?
how many times do you see me change my tuning vs rigging down? _________________ www.aerotechsails.com

The Taka, Zeta and Elite take the Tigers place , depending on preference.
Not certain but think the Elite will be 5 battens all sizes.
My 6.1 Elite with 4 battens works great.
I was not aware that the the 6.4 6.8 had 5battens. |
Not the way I see it so far~
Taka - 3 full battens
Elite - 4 full battens up to 6.1 then 5 after that
Zeta - 5 full battens all the way
Tiger - RIP |
Zeta..5B..fewer sizes.
Elite ..you could be correct.. not yet released for 2017
Tiger ..like we said gone

Well ... 2017 Elite posted on ezzy.com site. Site indicated it is ... 3 batten sail! But on pictures it has 4 battens. WTF? _________________ Andrew

Side note is that it does not list a 5 batten 6.4 or 6.8 |
