The people who are hurting, and voted for trump are not being helped by $15 wages - whether you pay them, a union negotiated for, them or the minimum wage is raised to that amount. They have mortgages and families and largely do not have the skills or infrastructure to work in the new economy.
To promise them to turn the clock back to 1950 and everything will be fine is an outright lie and it is fabricated by exactly those people who've outsourced their jobs in the first place. I believe their disappointment and anger will be considerable.
If the new right manages to continue to redirect that anger against minorities we're in deep shit.

WHO'S DIRECTING ANGER AT MINORITIES? This is idiotic blather. He's directing anger towards bad trade deals and people who are entering our country illegally. By limiting immigration from countries who harbor terrorists he's saving American lives and limiting our need to send troops to the middle east. |

The jobs they hold might otherwise be held by citizens or legal immigrants. The public service they use impose burdens on our taxpayers. That’s why our administration has moved aggressively to secure our borders more by hiring a record number of new border guards, by deporting twice as many criminal aliens as ever before, by cracking down on illegal hiring, by barring welfare benefits to illegal aliens,. We are a nation of immigrants. But we are also a nation of laws. It is wrong and ultimately self-defeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws we have seen in recent years, and we must do more to stop it."

You mean those red states that have cost cutting Republican governors and state legislatures? Seems to me that the folks from the heartland that voted for Donald Trump are looking for their fix from the federal government. Maybe we should called it "Heartland Welfare" paid for by the blue states that generate 64% of the economy these days. |

Yes, exactly. A far cry from the "they are sending their worst" speech. Both in content and grammatically. This is why so many actual, principled conservatives had a problem with the president elect.

So right wingers what is your take on stopping the development of a major critical part of the air force and national security. Keeping an obsolete or plane that has outlived its purpose? Maybe trump wants the contract to go to Putin's company? Remember when Reagan got fooled by the russians allowing them to build the US embassy. what an idiot Reagan was.

The result was a new out-of-nowhere presidential demand, and a sudden nosedive for Boeing’s stock. |

But you were referring to the "new right". The resolve of the 60million plus who voted for Trump will be stiffened by the continual accusations from the left that they are racists and bigots who are motivated by their anger directed at minorities. Keep it up and Democrats will continue with the same level of electoral success that they have enjoyed over the past 8 years. Maybe actual, principled Democrats will find accusations such as yours..........hmmm, what's the word......ah yes, bigoted. |
