The people who are hurting, and voted for trump are not being helped by $15 wages - whether you pay them, a union negotiated for, them or the minimum wage is raised to that amount. They have mortgages and families and largely do not have the skills or infrastructure to work in the new economy.

To promise them to turn the clock back to 1950 and everything will be fine is an outright lie and it is fabricated by exactly those people who've outsourced their jobs in the first place. I believe their disappointment and anger will be considerable.

If the new right manages to continue to redirect that anger against minorities we're in deep shit.

WHO'S DIRECTING ANGER AT MINORITIES? This is idiotic blather. He's directing anger towards bad trade deals and people who are entering our country illegally. By limiting immigration from countries who harbor terrorists he's saving American lives and limiting our need to send troops to the middle east.

Talking of turning the clock back.....

"All Americans, not only in the states most heavily affected but in every place in this country, are rightly disturbed by the large numbers of illegal aliens entering our country. The jobs they hold might otherwise be held by citizens or legal immigrants. The public service they use impose burdens on our taxpayers. That’s why our administration has moved aggressively to secure our borders more by hiring a record number of new border guards, by deporting twice as many criminal aliens as ever before, by cracking down on illegal hiring, by barring welfare benefits to illegal aliens,. We are a nation of immigrants. But we are also a nation of laws. It is wrong and ultimately self-defeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws we have seen in recent years, and we must do more to stop it."

Donald Trump, the bigot? No. Bill Clinton, 1995 State of the Union speech greeted with a standing ovation by Democrats. I guess it depends on who is speaking.........or how hopelessly biased you are.

You mean those red states that have cost cutting Republican governors and state legislatures? Seems to me that the folks from the heartland that voted for Donald Trump are looking for their fix from the federal government. Maybe we should called it "Heartland Welfare" paid for by the blue states that generate 64% of the economy these days.

Yes, exactly. A far cry from the "they are sending their worst" speech. Both in content and grammatically. This is why so many actual, principled conservatives had a problem with the president elect.

the truth is also a joke to one or more of his cabinet

one that needs to be able to detect lies and truth more critically than anyone one else. so who does the joke pick a general who is too stupid to know if Hillary had a child sex ring....

what a complete moron right wingers including former general are.

As Donald Trump’s national security adviser, retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn will have to advise the president of the veracity of foreign and domestic threats, separating those that require immediate policy action from propaganda or misinformation.

Quote:
But Flynn himself has used social media to promote a series of outrageous conspiracy theories about Hillary Clinton, President Barack Obama and their inner circles in recent months — pushing dubious factoids at least 16 times since Aug. 9, according to a POLITICO review of his Twitter posts. Flynn, who has 106,000 Twitter followers, has used the platform to retweet accusations that Clinton is involved with child sex trafficking and has "secretly waged war” on the Catholic Church, as well as charges that Obama is a “jihadi” who “laundered” money for Muslim terrorists.

Now some say Flynn’s fondness for spreading fake news casts doubt on his fitness to serve as the White House’s national security adviser, suggesting that he either can’t spot a blatant falsehood or is just ideologically bent to believe the worst of his perceived enemies.

ya we only have trumps word that this was not planned by that company a long time ago.

again what did trump promise to allow unlimited funds to be removed from the USA tax free when they turn a profit. What does a foreign company want to do with their profit? oh certainly not keep it in the USA.

Quote:
Financial details about Son's commitment and its timeframe remain unclear. Softbank and T-Mobile did not answer emailed questions. Sprint spokesman Dave Tovar referred questions to Softbank. Foxconn, a tech manufacturer that makes iPhones for Apple in China, also did not answer questions. Its logo was next to Softbank's on a piece of paper Son carried.

Sprint has struggled since its 2013 acquisition by Softbank. The carrier's attempt to join with rival T-Mobile failed in 2014 after regulators objected to combining two of the four largest mobile telecom companies in the United States. T-Mobile has surpassed Sprint to become the No. 3 carrier, while Sprint has struggled with cost cuts and layoffs. (AT&T and Verizon are the largest wireless carriers.)

Analysts have predicted, however, that a Trump-led Justice Department and Federal Communications Commission would be more likely to allow telecom mergers , including a deal between Sprint and T-Mobile. T-Mobile has 50,000 employees and a stock-market value of $46 billion — but the similarities between those numbers and Son's commitment could just be a coincidence.

this can not be true, trump can not be that thinned skinned and hateful? So right wingers what is your take on stopping the development of a major critical part of the air force and national security. Keeping an obsolete or plane that has outlived its purpose? Maybe trump wants the contract to go to Putin's company? Remember when Reagan got fooled by the russians allowing them to build the US embassy. what an idiot Reagan was.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/12/6/1607952/-Trump-s-Air-Force-One-tweet-appears-to-be-retaliation-against-Boeing-for-hurting-his-fee-fees

Quote:
Several things are wrong with this. First, he's (once again) lying. Costs aren't $4 billion. The planes aren't even being built yet. What exists right now are contracts for $169 million to design the replacements, because the current planes reach the end of their expected 30 year lifespan next year. Even going according to schedule, the new planes won't be ready for five years after that.

But why did Donald Trump suddenly take to Twitter to denounce Boeing for an "out of control" "$4 billion" contract for a replacement Air Force One? TPM notes that it quite possibly could be a tantrum-fueled attempt to damage the company after Trump read earlier in the morning that someone at Boeing criticized him.

[A] Google search (which is obviously an imperfect measure) suggests that the Tribune story was the only published mention of the [Boeing] speech in the last 24 hours prior to Trump's tweet. It seems at least plausible that the Tribune story was the first or one of the first reports of the speech Trump or his team saw.
What appears to have happened is that earlier this morning, the Chicago Tribune published a story reporting that a Boeing executive had some skeptical things to say about Donald Trump. We already know that Trump obsessively scans the news for critical mentions of himself. (We also know that he reacts to news he sees with immediate tweeted policy proposals, as when he Twitter-mused about stripping citizenship from Americans who might burn a flag as an apparent response to a Fox & Friends segment on flag burning that had aired just beforehand. The man is a child.)

In any event, a mere twenty minutes or so after the Tribune story about a Boeing executive criticizing him was published, Trump suddenly found a strong opinion over one particular Boeing contract, declared it "out of control," and demanded it be canceled.

The result was a new out-of-nowhere presidential demand, and a sudden nosedive for Boeing’s stock.

Masa Son made it very clear that he wouldn't have made this investment in America if Hillary Clinton won. Why, because of the regulatory compliance issues.

But you were referring to the "new right". The resolve of the 60million plus who voted for Trump will be stiffened by the continual accusations from the left that they are racists and bigots who are motivated by their anger directed at minorities. Keep it up and Democrats will continue with the same level of electoral success that they have enjoyed over the past 8 years. Maybe actual, principled Democrats will find accusations such as yours..........hmmm, what's the word......ah yes, bigoted.
