In VT and thinking about making a run to somewhere on the NE coast. Looks like swell will be pushing in and there should be decent wind but the ENE wind direction has me baffled in trying to avoid on shore winds.
Any suggestions? Somewhere in Rhodie? Have Always wanted to check out PJ and Matunuck. Maybe Horseneck? Seems unlikely but would Nahant somehow work? Or is there a spot on the Cape? |

Nothing happening at Matunuck. There is a live surf cam here if you want to check conditions: http://www.oceanmist.net/surf_cam/
Head for the cape! Lots of spots there. |

Slinky - Thanks for the freebie link. Have surfline but one can never have enough cams to check over and over again. I'll put it in the rotation.
OC - Yeah, was hoping to call it wavesailing so not as enthused about onshore stuff. Although those wave challenge days I saw on youtube from several years ago did look really sweet. Those were on NW though. Would ENE be similar?
Does anybody know if Rye Rocks will work on ENE? |

The West "Ocean" side of Horseneck doesn't work on ENE. I was there today - actually there all the time - and no swell showing on the ocean side. Today there was fun rolling swell on the East side of the Gooseberry causeway. Wind is side-shore on NE, just before the causeway. |

Thanks Windswell. Really appreciate a first hand account of what it's like there. |

Headed down there in 20 min. Doesn't look like as much wind. And still not Easterly enough to be on the ocean side of Hneck. Yesterday was 5.8 to 5.0. I'll try to update this when I get there. |
