What continent do you live on? If in the U.S., Corpus Christi and Cape Hatteras are marvelous, cheap venues for newbies. Endless flat, shallow water and modest breezes, punctuated by occasional WIND to test your progress.

Hi Mike,

I live in Brazil...but I was wondering about places to visit in foreign countries when in vacation so, your tips are excellent.
If you remember something else just let me know OK? ( i intend to get some time off by the end of the year).

Thanks

Juan

I think South Padre Island was the best learning spot, but hard to rent equipment and then Bonaire but more expensive.

Ive been to Margarita, Aruba and Bonaire. All are really good places to learn, but Bonaire is the BEST!!! Where else can you have consistant 20 knott winds, flat water, and a bay that is knee high to waist deep with a sandy bottom. It doesnt get any better than that for learning.
