More Crissy and Coyote. Today solid 5.0 at Coyote, I go all the way to the outside markers and have some fun, although it is mostly chop and little swell. Still enough to do some surfing on the swell, completely de-powered, closing the jibe, fun.

Wind is weaker, and the inside more than tentative. I stay out until around 5:20 then I check the wind inside, not much left, and I go back in a straight down wind slog. A small group of people out, Wed there were many more ... the place is soooo big, you never run into anybody if you go outside!!!! Beautiful late afternoon with the fog cleared from the whole peninsula Very Happy

On a different note ... I think I might want a hydrofoil ... a good one (not a Formula converted monster) might be the ticket in the silly chop like today!

At the yacht club, solid smooth 5.5 on 100 liters.
Go, turn, full planing jibe, go and repeat again and again and again!

It's been a classic week for 3rd Ave with mid 20 wind and late ebb .. channel swell was rocking.
We're losing the ebb and they say we'll get a SW shift so today maybe the last of a great condition period. Cool H

Sunday nice 6.0 conditions at Berkeley, starting at noon. Started with 111 Futura, dropped to 95 Excocet, and finished on 84 JP Slalom.
Then the tide filled in, and I was done after an hour and a half of sailing, taking nearly 2.5 hours with the board changes and fin installs.

Big fun on the Richmond side at Isabel Sunday. Wide open full throttle reaches. Don't wreck Grandpa!

I Heard this call come while aboard the CG skiff taking me, Sans shattered boom, back to TI. Resulted in a hasty and less-convenient drop off spot - not that I was complaining.

This dude must have been way out there to warrant the 47' vessel.

My uniden radio worked like a charm though.

Good to carry a radio.
You know the story of Ray Dieter and bud who called CG from 17 miles out the gate.
OTOH, how is calling the CG "taking responsibility" for your own safety?
Swimming to Kirby Cove is saving yourself. Done perhaps several hundred times by Crissy sailors.
Or perhaps, sail in safer spots.

Secret spot has been producing all week. 4.5 conditions and rolling swell with warm shorty wetsuit conditions. Bring your sunscreen. If you don't know, don't ask. Its secret.

good 4.0/big board today with better swells than yesterday. A friend nicely powered on 5.2. A bit westerly today.
