Hey Race fans
The 2016 SF Racing schedule is set with more than 25 races to choose from stating in April and running through September. Come join the fun if you are a seasoned vet or a b fleet newbie. Formula, slalom, long distance and even foiling will be run.

Hi All,

The Crissy Field Slalom Series is back again for 2016!

We need your support to ensure slalom racing will happen this season in San Francisco. 4 race dates are planned for the 2016 Crissy Field Slalom Series on Saturday or Sunday afternoons - Saturday May 28, Sunday June 12, Sunday July 17 & Saturday August 27. A 4-5 mark downwind slalom course will be set with a start at Anita Rock and a finish off the beach just west of the St.FYC with an A fleet start for experienced racers and a B fleet start for less experienced racers.

By donating to our crowdfunding site - you can ensure the series will happen. A $100 donation (before May 27) will serve as your pre-registration for the series (vs $120 if you pay for the series after May 2 Cool

and will allow us to secure a race committee boat, race director, marks, & anchors for all the races this season . A $250 donation (by May 6) allows you to become a sponsor of the event with your name and company's logo on the series marketing material, press releases and official web page + a spot on the starting line!

This year, we are hosting a slalom windsurfing rules seminar on Thursday May 12 at 5:30 pm at the StFYC. The idea is that if competitors become more familiar with the rules, they will be able to play the game at a higher level. Yes- there are rules for slalom. #1 being avoid the collision at all cost. Swimming is slow.
Come find out how to play the game fairly and how you can use the rules to your advantage and not get hosed by another racer. Whats the proper recourse if someone fouls you? How do you protest someone? What do you do if you break a rule?
These are the scenarios we will be going over.
As an incentive to come to the rules seminar registered series competitors will receive first place points. Series competitors not in attendance at the rules seminar on May 12th will receive points equal to DNC.
