If you could water start?? is that a coment refering to the 8m sail? (light wind Problems), or is it a just not yet learned? if its just not learned yet, then can you do a beach start? If so then think of a water start as a beach start but from the water level. and watch a video on it for mechanical tips. good |

Should be able to learn to waterstart with the Phoenix and your 8.0, though thats a mighty BIG sail to clear from the water. That said, I can waterstart my 4 CAM 7.0 on a Xantos 325 - about the same challenge Id think. WRT needing to waterstart to sail a smaller board - thats not necessarily so. You can uphaul in pretty nasty chop once you get used to it - not necessarily recommended though. rickp |
