Ive got a Bic Vivace 270. Does anyone have experience with these in bump and jump conditions? Also,what fin do you recommend.

Hi,
actually, the vivace 270 is really a med to hi wind slalom board (5.8 to 6.5m2 slalom sails ...)
Jumping with it is not the best thing you can do with it...but to get the max. comfort, you should use a free ride fin with a good smooth curve...29-32cm for sails between 4.5 and 6.3)

Not sure what year Vivace you are using, but I owned a 95 Vivace 263 which I sold and am sorry sorry sorry. The 263 is tough, extremely fast, and the most controllable flat-out fast board I ever used. I sailed it in bump and jump conditions in high wind, although it really was intended as a fast slalom performer. Tough to jibe, but it jumped real well. I used it mainly with a 35cm race blade. |
