Northwave originally used sold Powerex RDMS the Utah version in 2000 or so.

ISO is correct that NoLimitz is the preferred for their sails,
I did use a Ezzy and it was ok, the NL was better.

The NL will suit most sails except those that desire a soft top or hard top,
And yes you can combo the original and sumo to suit the extreme mast bend curves.

The original is lighter than 3 other RDMs I have, and very strong.

I have standard Nolimitz 370. I used these sails with it.

Sails that worked great are
North Sails (I used Ice, Ego)
Naish Sails (I used Choppers XL, L, M, Force)

That work well are
Severne Sails (Blade, S1)

Never used other sail brands than the above.

Hope it helps.

Isn't there a lot of cross-over between the Sailworks masts and the Nolimits masts? Perhaps less so for the race sails ...

Never heard this, do you mean they are interchangeable in tops and bottoms?

Or that the mast bend curve is similar ?

Just that Sailworks sells NoLimits mast as well as there own, so I thought the bend curves must be similar. I didn't see Sailworks mentioned as being compatible. Are the Sailworks Nolimits masts special?

The Sailworks masts are made in several places.
NoLimitz are made in the USA.

NL has made the original skinny a long time, thinking they were first to market it.

I have no Sailworks masts or sails, so someone else would need to answer if they are interchangeable , first thing is if the joint spigots are the same.

I say NL masts are special, very strong and lightweight.
Questions will be answered by them, and or Sailworks.

Some years back (about 2008) I had a discussion with Jim at Sailworks about NL masts. At the time, he indicated that NL's bend curve was a little off for their Revos and small Retros, but still usable. They were not selling NL masts at that time. Yet today, Sailworks is now fully recommending NL RDM masts for their Revos and small Retros, and they are selling NL masts at their loft. These are standard NL masts, and they are not a special version made for Sailworks. I'm thinking that they slightly adjusted the design of their sails to better match the NL bend curve.

However, when it comes to larger Retros and NX sails, they still recommend going with their Joystick and Lightstick SDMs, which are made in Italy to Sailworks' specifications (I believe it's a 64/76 12% bend curve).

Has anybody some experience with the NoLimitz 460 F.A.S.T. mast ? This mast is supposed to be stiffer than Sumo and it should work better with the Sailworks larger sails.

I would call Sailworks, since they sail both.
FWIW on larger sails 7.5, it's always been a toss up on SDM OR SKINNY,
THE Standard dia react better to overpowered , skinny worked better 460/490 when underpowered. Or for more low end.
