| Unless you are a longboarder Lake Tahoe is cold and rough lake where the waves are usually bigger than the wind. Go to Washoe Lake near Carson City, Usually plenty windy with a good launch at the North Beach. Windsurfers and Kiters are welcome |

| If there is s lot of wind the Lake Forest Glen launch on North Lake, next to the coast gaurd station can be good, but gusty. |
