A few years ago when my kids were just starting I built a golf ball simulator as per Eva's instructions here.

http://www.boardlady.com/simulator.htm

We no longer use it and thought someone else with small kids or a school might like it.

I prefer fixed simulators. I cut a triangle piece of plywood, with four holes, corners and center for the mast base. Pound big tent pegs into the corners. Great for practicing ducks and such. Those rotating simulators always scare me. I do like the pinstripes on your deck!

these can be slowed down by cinching up the Nyloc nut on the center bolt, so will rotate as slowly or quickly as you like. I stand all my beginners on mine, so they get a feel for the steering. Seems to work...

here's the same kid, fresh off the simulator and stood onto the real thing - he just took off, grinning ear to ear
