Apart from Aruba, where would I find the most reliable winds around Christmas?

I am not sure Aruba is that reliable. Actually -- Costa Rica has decent spring winds, not too sure about Dec though.

It seems to me the best winds in this half of the hemisphere are May-July -- sketchy anytime else, with exception to a few places like Aruba/Bonaire.

How about Australia? I think that is their high season.

look at the posts for best site in Nov. They suggest Maui, Baja, and Aruba.

All are subject to the storm season, that is what I was referring to.

Check out the Trip Report on La Ventana, Baja posted by Gordon Bloom. Christmas is 85% windy there....
