I have a 10 year old mistral malibu with a 10 in. crack in the skin on the top near the front.The edges dont mate up to well ie. a quarter of an inch elivated at one point.What material should I use to repair this--boat resin ? epoxy? can someone help.Thanks--jbossie@sympatico.ca |

since this is an old board, just do your best to fix it with marine tex or epoxy resin & fiberglass cloth.
10 crack is pretty big, did the board take on water? if so, it needs to be completely dry inside before sealing it. |

Marine Tex is a white creamy substance available at boating supply stores. It goes on easy, cures in about a day, then is sandable and paintable. I know this because I too own a Mistral. Since buying my Mistral 2 months ago Ive become somewhat of an expert on board repair... |

I do repairs at our shop please use west systems epoxy and cloth. Marine tex is met to be used for small repairs 1/2 holes |
