I had the occasion to check out the new boards from BIC during my last trip to Maui. I wanted to know if BIC had addressed the problem of the footstraps twisting on all their boards. They havent !!!!
It is unfortunate because BIC boards have great shapes, very strong construction and come with excellent fins.
When the footstraps twist, they lock on your feet and can result in injuries that can be prevented by putting four screws per footstraps or designing an anti-twist device that work. This would add only a few cents to a few dollars to the price of each board.
The worst damages to the company is the fact that I cant recommend any BIC boards for anyone until this problem is resolved.

| what? twisting is a bad thing? all my boards (customs) have only two screws holding my straps (one on each end). so they twist a little, so what!! it actually keeps me from breaking my ankles when ever i land too hard from a jump etc. and they at least give a little instead of the ankles giving out. whats wrong with that??? and besides, they are more confortable.... |
