I vaguely remember Lake Mohave as a hot spot for wind in the early 80s Do people still sail there? When is it windy? I cant find any info on western Arizona lake windsurfing |

Ive sailed Lake Mojave since the late 80s. Many people camp and sail out of 6-mile cove, or 9-mile, or Nellis wash (if you have 4wd). Wind at Catherines Landing (at Davis Dam) is far stronger...so most people who sail Mojave go there for shortboarding. I still like the wide part of the lake, even tho 6.5 - 9.0 sails are the norm. Mosquitos have become a problem since lake levels have risen in the mid-90s. Dont forget repellant after early April. Steve |

I think you should just get a Jet Ski and a twelve pack of beer. You would fit in better with that crowd. |
