Hi Gang,
Not too many complain when the winds are way stronger than forecast but yesterday, Aug. 2, was an unusual day which saw strong Hatch winds despite heavy cloud coverage. Why? In 2 words "convective outflow".
This blog tells the full story in words, pictures and videos (you have to cover all bases these days)

Love to hear your informed analysis, Windfind - a little actual information to add to our emotion-based weather guessing is always good!

Thanks for info. At one point my fins completely lost hold as I passed a downwind SUP. They probably have never seen such a blast, "extreme" SUPing.
