For someone wanting to travel to the Texas coast, can anyone suggest some ideal places to stay that are pretty much prime for windsurfing (when travelling with the family). |

I would say that Corpus Christi would be the best place to stay, with great beaches, and plenty of things to do with the family. Wind is usually on year round except for June-September (when its dead and fickle). Other places to try are Galveston (east beach) or South Padre (similar to Corpus). When the wind is on, its usually 15-25 knots and builds all day starting around 11 AM.
