Mike McCaffrey asked me to forward his invitation to everyone looking for a fun way to spend this weekend.

The September Winds Regatta is part of what may be the longest-running race series in the USA. 2014 represents this regatta's 32nd consecutive year!!

Some of the best longboard racers the East Coast has produced come from this lake in Wakefield, MA. Included in the fleet is a world champion, several national champions, sailors who dominated the huge New England events of the past and others who simply enjoy sailing together and challenging themselves.

Be a part of the fun.

09:00 Registration
10:00 Skippers Meeting

Sailing continues until approximately 16:00 (4:00 P.M.)

More info at www.sailqyc.com or contact me with questions.

Thanks for posting, Dan. There is very little information to be found at the web site you gave. Do you know anything about
- typical # of racers?
- cost?
- fleets? (open, 7.5, women's, ...)?

Yep, not much info on their site.
However, I attended a few of their regattas back in the late 80's early 90's during the years of the National Tudor-Mistral Series. This is a fun group of sailors. They traditionally offered a full range of classes, open, limited, men's, women's and the Mistral class as well. The locals have a distinct advantage knowing the squirrelly wind shifts, eddies, and wind lanes of the lake, but always challenging and mucho fun. Bring the long board for sure. Cool
