I have started wind surfing recently and I can't get enough of it at all. So, I decided to get my own gear.
Some one is selling me the following spec for USD 600 in Baltimore MD area. I am wondering whether it is the right price.
year 2010: simmer sail 6.2, sumo nolimitz carbon mast, nolimitz carbon extension and chinook carbon boom.
Is the price right?
Thanks for your help guys.

The boom alone is worth that. I'd phone the guy right now and snap it up.

Do I still buy the rig package since the sail has marks like in the attached pic all over.
Please read the above message chain to understand my situation.
Thanks

What you really need to decide is whether the mast will meet your growing needs over time. The boom and the mast extension are more universal components that will work with any sail. In my view, the Simmer sail is the least important item. I wouldn't worry too much about creases. If the sail is serviceable, and you can get a year or two out of it, it could be considered a reasonable value. Again, think about the mast and its compatibility with the sail brands that you would like to invest in in the future.

I'm a sail repair guy, and creases as show in the pics almost never turn into an actual tear. They usually appear due to the crinkling that takes place when rigging or unrigging the sail. The x-scrim in the sail looks to be in good condition so no worries with this aspect of the sail. When sails have seen a lot of UV, new crinkles can be a problem. I don't think that is the case here. I've had several Simmers of that age and they were all very good sails and the Sumo mast is a gem. The bend is very similar to the Powerex bends and all the rebadged Powerex masts. It will work very well on the Simmer. Enjoy! You've got a bargain.
