I have always had an interest in the Fanatic boards..
Have Fanatic Ultra CAT longboard from around 1990.
This is a true FUN longboard, but the market is too small
for Fanatic to revive the race version - MEGA CAT.

I also have a Fanatic BEE LTD 124 from around 2000.
As a heavyweight in a light wind area, i barely get to use it.

My windsurf buddy has a 2010 Fanatic Hawk 135.
It is a bit fragile, but flies !!!

Now in 2013 Fanatic has released the Gecko.
This is apparently a freemove board to compete with the RRD Firemove.
They are short, wide , thin, narrow tail early planing and manouverable
boards.
Interesting boards, but i am waiting to see how these do...

What surprised me was, I discovered there is a Falcon 152 with 90 cm
width. This goes in direct competition with the SB US and Exocet RS7.
Unfortunately i find little information on either of these boards - Falcon 152 and RS7 Sad
Anyone have any experience with either ? and how they compare ??

Joe,

There can't be many people that have sailed the Falcon 152 yet as it is brand new for 2013. I don't think any of the shops even have them yet.

3 of our local Formula sailors are using 90 cm wide boards (MikeZaicheck's) for racing Formula.
They use a meter and some smaller sails, 56 fins, and are competitive upwind and downwind with the Formula guys on 100cm and 9-11 meter sails.
Since Formula seems to be around 2 mph slower than slalom boards, the narrower 90 cm boards would close up the gap.
Some big guys around here use 80 cm slalom boards, for higher wind days than their 100's like.
