I want to give a sincere "thank you" to all the hotshots, gurus, pros, fancy baffers, kiters, and just plain worn-out windsurfers who got off the water by about 5:30 yesterday. The wind picked up a little bit, and big smooth swells emerged to be surfed by maybe 5-10 windsurfers who had very little in the the way to worry about for about an hour. It was so nice to surf without having to worry too much about cutting anybody in half. It was a true quality surf-session, and I am too worn out (legs) to shred again today.

As always, thank you for looking upwind from time to time and letting an old fart make some turns. I wonder whether anybody got a big Wall session as the sun set.

The big guy with the orange sail was notable for his speed during that session. Who was that blur? That was some impressive speed. It was relatively easy to be overpowered yet mostly in control because of the smooth water. Too much fun!

I never saw from this particular angle, but I am pretty sure that is the wild animal I saw out there because there is orange up high on the sail.
