Does anyone know about the possibility of windsurfing on Barnstable Harbor? I was over there the other day and it looked like it would be great in a NE wind.

Secret slalom training grounds.

Lottsa rip-chop on an outgoing tide....best when tide headed to almost full, then it can be butter.

Minimal weed

Offshore stuff, but if you can shlog home SW works well....NE ok, but Bayside launches Mayflower/Chapin are basically the same.

Pretty place

Also works well in N winds. Near Scudder lane, you can find perfectly flat water next to the islands when the tide is just right (in between tides). Great for speed or freestyle. The islands are completely underwater at high tide, and it's too shallow there at low tide. Millway works at any tide, and gives you B&J conditions depending on tide. Keep in mind tide ranges from 8 ft to 12 ft there.

You'll need a resident sticker to park at the Town Landings during summer. Good chance that you'll get a ticket if you don't have one. On sunny weekends, the parking lots are likely to be full, especially at the smaller landings.
