I got this for helping my neighbor with a project. I have no idea if it's worth hundreds or thousand dollars. Any input would be very helpful!

-Starboard GO 165 board (2004 model)
-Gaastra Charger 6.0 sail
-Powerk mast
-Chinook 152-214cm boom
-Drake Race 580 fin (missing the bolts)
-Da Kine Hawaii harness
-4x Starboard footstraps
-All the ropes and straps and other little parts

Any idea what I should ask? Located in Austin, Tx. THANKS!

I know nothing about windsurfing. I helped my neighbor and she gave it to me. She said she didn't use it anymore.... so no, it's not stolen.

Just looking for a rough price estimate. Anyone?

a) Ask your neighbor, whom you helped, she may have an idea, for starters.

b) Post a pic of the stuff here, can't tell w/o knowing the condition, descriptions don't work very well.

c) If it were worth thousands, I'm sure she'd try to sell it herself.

I can't figure out how to add more than 1 photo to a posting. I have them all uploaded to flickr. https://www.flickr.com/photos/125317357@N05/

The board has some minor scratches on the sides and some spots where the plastic shell has been chipped. None of them look major.

The sail looks like it has crinkles in it. I'm not sure if that's normal.

Otherwise it all looks to be in pretty good shape. I'm watching youtube videos now, trying to figure out how it all goes together.

About $300 to $700 for the whole package.

The board is quite useful as a beginner board $200-$400 (including the foot straps and the fin and the mast foot which attaches the board to the mast or mast extension). The sail is worth about $30-$100 depending on condition, most likely closer to the $30. The mast, if a two-piece, is worth about $40 to $80, a one-piece mast is worth about $10-15. The boom is worth about $40 to $80. The harness is worth about $20 to $40.

In really pristine condition.... everything looks new, all colors are bright with no sign fading, the clear parts of the sail are not cloudy, scratched or dented, the rubber hand grip on the boom does not appear to be worn, etc. the package might be worth $100 to $200 more.... if you are a really good sales person or if the buyer is someone who already knows they want a Starboard GO with 6.0 rig.

The board is also useful as an intermediate board especially for riders who weigh 175 lbs or more.

My previous post was being written while you were posting the picture. The board, etc., might be in "pristine" condition.

It looks almost unused, price depends upon local market and I'm not sure how many windsurfers there are in Austin, I'm guessing not many.
IMO it could be worth up to $1000 and as low as $500 which would be a steal for someone who wants to learn. Many more potential buyers along the coast especially in Corpus Christy which is three hours away. I would advertise craigs list Houston and Corpus as well as local, start at $1000 and see what interest it gets, you can always lower the price.

There is an Austin Windsurfing club: http://www.austinwindsurf.org/

Their current website looks a little unused....I think that is because they've established a Facebook page and now use that more than the their website. You can follow a like to their Facebook page on their website.

Try to meet with some of them at a local lake and they can quickly show you how to put it together.

I believe the fin screws are metric.

Also go to the Starboard website: http://www.star-board.com/
Read up on past questions on their "Start Windsurfing" forum and also ask whatever questions you want. Their videos can also be helpful.

Looks like a good kit for Lake Travis, but it might be a bit low right now which could make it harder to sell.
