Sherman Island Dawn Patrol at the access had solid mid-twenties wind along with an ebb tide. Check out the sea snake graphic on Bruce's 65L Roberts board with 4.2 sail.

Arrived at 1 pm rigged a 5.7 by the time it was rigged it was
already a little large stayed on it for about and hour.
Then went to 5.3 for the duration. Still no weeds on the surface
but plenty underneath. It went to 4.7 or 4.2 about 4:30 but I didn't
want to re rig and change to a smaller board for a burnout session.
Had the whole lake to myself no one else there except for a
few fishermen.
Probably will hit it again tomorrow.

Isabel worked me over today. 0-90 and waves coming from four directions. Went over the handlebars for the first time this year. I'm too old for that shit. Fun though. No woofs, just whimpers.

Dawn Patrol was excellent this morning--Delta Dawg John Stewart is shown enjoying it.

Dead flat super weedy speed sailing.
Water Level Low today several strips of thick weeds showing.
Started with a 5.3 and a free style board about 1:30 no trouble blasting
through most of it. Went to a 4.7 and Wave Board around 3:30
The fog was dripping wet comming back through Watsonville more
that the past two days, a good indicator for tomorrow.
Had company today but only two others windsurfing.

Sherman Island is windy for the fourth day in a row with an ideal morning ebb tide. Shown is Islander and Delta Dawg Willi running off the wind at the start of his morning session.

Berkeley again, 5.0 and 73 liter board planing right off the poles at the 3rd dock, kinda light in the middle, OK both sides, then it comes up a bit around 3:30 till 5, then down again.
Sorta spooky ridinga 73 liter board knowing Berkeley will die on you. 155 lbs.

This week I sailed 2 days at TI and recently 2 days during ebb at Coyote 4.7/95L Fanatic Freewave trifin purchased new last year. Moved the thrusters more forward with a slightly larger (8.5 inch) center fin so that I could push the tail more aggressively. Board turns on a dime and planes quickly and I am content that I bought a keeper despite the high price ($2500/w tax) Crying or Very sad

If there is enough interest from Crissy sailors, we could look into organizing a Slog Basics Camp at Treasure Island. TI is home to some world class athletes who can sustain a knee-deep slog on a low-volume wave board for as long as it takes to get back home. And they are more than happy to share their knowledge and feed your slog-stoke. Cool
