I had to buy a pair of harness lines while on vacation last week so I got a pair of dakine 32 lines. This morning I measured them as they seemed too short. They are only 30 long and clearly shorter than my HSM lines. WTF dakine??? |

I posted my 38" Ezzy harness lines in the buy/sell section if anyone needs long fixed lines. They're a true 38" below the boom. Very well made and reasonable. |

I have a pair of 30" Dakine mono lines, they measure 32.75" below the boom!
No excuse for this. It's poor quality control. The lines are nice but if they don't fit/wrong size it's a quality control issue. |

It can also be mis-labeled. I saw a few Dakine items (harnesses, mitts, ...) with the wrong tag (ex: M instead of L or vice-versa). It's best to measure or compare. |

Like I said a lack of quality control. Come on, how difficult is to measure a freaking harness line? My HSM 30" lines measure 33.75", really? It is a factor for those of us who can't just walk into a shop with a tape measure. I will continue to pound away on this because it's total BS. |

Usually, they do not. My lines usually lasted several years before they showed visible wear. That's with 100-150 session/year, often 2-6 hours long.
The Dakine lines have white plastic on the outside, perhaps to prevent UV damage on the inside. Big disadvantage is that you cannot see the state of the inside line. I switched completely away from Dakine lines after the break. Lack of quality control in critical components? No, thank you. Unfortunately, Chinook fixed lines max out at 30 inches, and they are a bit shorter than the 32 Dakines. Getting a pair of the HSM lines is on my to-do list. |

Holy cow! I can't even touch the boom with my outstretched fingertips with 30" lines, and I'm average height and wear a 44 Regular coat.
Which NBA teams do you guys play for? |
