A Ha Winnebago! My wife has actually suggested this. She says get a Winnebago or trailer and go to Florida in the winter and make our way up the coast in the spring stopping in Hatteras. Then the Cape till early summer then home till fall. She's the smart one and doesn't even windsurf.
Thanks again for all the info.

If you said you were moving from Maui to Cape Cod I would have just ignored this post all together.
Cape Cod rocks!
But you have to learn all the ins and outs and what have yous.
If you know where to go and what time to go(very important in the summer)
You can avoid most beach parking fees. But lets face it even 25bucks for a killer day at the beach is cheep as sh!t. If you go sking you are going to pay what $80.00 per person at least these days and stand in a crowded line half the day?!
It is funny how the human mind set works. We will spend all this money on WS gear yet not $25.00 to use it because we think it is to much for a parking spot. Trust me the parking fee is the cheapest part of your windsurfing day. Add up the cost of all your gear then divide it by how many sessions you get on it. I am sure that cost is over $100.00 a session.
Just imagine if you could go skiing for $25.00 a car load .
The longer I live on Cape Cod the more I like the winters. It is an interesting place. In the winter we have no rules at all do what ever the hell you want and in the summer you get told you cant do the things you have done all winter.
This is my solution to summer traffic....
Avoid the summer crowds...

You have to pay to play....25 bucks does seem a little excessive though.
DCR season pass. 35bucks. Nahant, Horseneck, West Island and others.

The funny thing is there's this sweet little summer cottage right next door to my house for sale right now if you have $500,000 burning a hole in your pocket!
