Just in case people forget how good windsurfs are in light (no wind!) conditions:

Looks like fun playing in light air, but posing for the cameras like that on 1 foot waves, well that's embarrassing.

I think light wind sailing like that is a great way to work on the basics of sail handling and wave riding.

And a lot better for you than sitting on the couch drinking beer and becoming part of the obesity epidemic.

Yeah, but I can vouch for the SeaLion's capacity for producing fun when underpowered. I am having a ball learning what for me is almost a new arm of the sport ... "terrain-following", often planing, when I'd be survival slogging on lesser boards. Even with my <10% of the sail-handling ability shown in this video, the board takes the isometric hula out of deep holes in the wind, whether I'm on a 6.2 in 8-25 mph winds or on a 3.7 @ 10 to 45 mph. I went against the advice of Gorge windSUP experts at my own peril in buying one, and have zero second thoughts so far. Hey, they're having fun on calf-high waves; who's having the last laugh?

Isobars,

Here's to what you said !!!
And even when there is no wave at all sail handling is good exercise and good practice.
Think I might do some today.

They'd be dead in the water if it were blowing 5 ... or 0 ... mph.
