Is there a best practice for cleaning an old windsurf board? I'd hate to use 409 or something and have my oldie but goodie dissolve into a mass of goo.

I like Simple Green & Comet used together, use a scrubbrush on the non-skid since it will just grab a cloth. On the smooth parts a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is helpful on small scuffs, automotive polishing compound on larger scuffs & scratches. For tar & such use Xylene (solvent), should be fine but test on a small patch to be sure.

I highly recommend a high pressure manual carwash spray hose with soap, and then rinse. It's the only way I know to clean a nonstick deck.
