Five fins if you wanted, http://reefwarriors.wordpress.com/2014/05/28/10-wind-sup-quad/#comments
I'm wondering what knowledgeable people think of this.
I was talking to some local sailors (there's only a few) and the consensus is multi-fins here because of the shallow water. Guys with money have new quad fin boards, others just glass on four fins to a single fin board. No one using weed fins.
I have a couple of boards I would like to do this to, it would greatly expand my sailing area and times due to tides.

I have seen these fins , the center ones before. On SUP, which I dont do, they may help with... I known not what. I think on a windsurf board the center fins are going to be squirrel...think..dont know , nor care to find out.

the Whale fin works, the 2nd photo I made from a piece of fin I had laying around from a previous project. Its interesting to say the least 8*&6%$#@

Futures and FCS surf fins have variations the the center fins with a horizontal stabilizer or whatever aviation term sounds KOOL.

5 fins on a board did not work for me, I would not pursue that, too many variables to get right, size and shape, toe in , cant et all.

the easiest conversion to do what you seem to want is add side boxes and have a tri fin, you can use a center weed fin to obtain the shallowest depth of that fin, the sides, depending on the board liters would not need to be very long, 13cm the longest, generally speaking, and maybe as small as 10cm.

this Tabou Rocket works great for just what you asked about, shallow water..... also ROCKs that lay in wait hidden.....

this set up the tri for deep water a 28cm center

this also works : to attain minimal depth

PM if any conversion knowledge is desired. my count now is 9 boards +
