Los Lobos are so big in Latin America, I assumed they were Latino.
When they played here they couldn't understand Spanish at all.
Buncha Texas gringos with Spanish last names.
They rock. |

David Hidalgo of Los Lobos is still going strong. He performed on Dave Specter's (my guitar teacher) last album. Here is the cut.

Sorry to get away from the lovely topic of politics, but I couldn't resist letting you know, you have to GO SEE THIS GUY! Just saw him and danced the night away. How many off you have danced recently to global cooling, I mean warming, I mean...?? Talented mother, great voice and band. You cant go wrong. Trust me. Go to his website, as well as Tab Benoit's website and check to see when they come to your local club. Especially Tab!

Holy crap! That Jools Holland/Dr. John clip is amazing. I knew Jools could play, just not that well. Just got in town and watched. Dr. John is fantastic. Seen him many times. The old time guys really know how to play.
Interesting, there are so little choices today with the few record companies left. They promote what they want, wax and polish it and shove it down your throats on the radio. It is such crap. With the internet, if you are willing to look, there is an infinite variety of music going on. |
