I thought so. Glad you got some of that.

That was the summer (1990) I learned "the turn" which made all the difference that morning. But no doubt I got more good turns Tuesday. More skilled, better gear, and lots more experience to draw from. My body takes longer to recover though. It beats the alternative.

This photo from Richard Hallman truly captures the size of the bigger sets that day.

Definitely a day for the history books! Season is early - more to come?

All I can say is wow! Thanks for sharing all those fantastic photos and vids. Incredible stuff. Now I'll go back to my flat water blasting on a 6.5 and realize I have no coolness.

That photo from Richard really shows how big it was! Awesome! More please!!!
I found an old Gorge Current from 1990. The Challenge was in August. It was morning so the current was stronger than PM. And I have no intention to diminish that awesome day in any way, I was there. Still that was August and no way was there as much current s we had Tuesday, so probably no way it was as big as June 3rd. June 3rd was like dream rollers. Dream rollers for the whole time. Just like that Gary Wright song "Dreamroller."
