Hi Gang,
I started taking photos just after the wind faded to the low 30's around 3PM. Still the action was pretty hot. Here are a few of the photos.
I will post some more tomorrow.

Great shots. Can't wait to see more.
Epic day at the Hatch.
Locomotive sized swells on the Pink Car Bob sizing scale.

Some waves felt like you were dropping off a building. People looked so small way down there in the trough!

These photos illustrate how important it is for everbody to look around frequently, especially UPWIND. Why? Because, especially during these conditions, the upwind windsurfer/kiter simply cannot SEE downwind in order to avoid anybody other than maybe a kiter (who would be indicated by kite lines). However, as the downwind sailor, you might be able to see the tip of the mast/sail or perhaps kite lines. When you do, veer out of the way if you can.
Thanks.
P.S. I ditched once because I knew I was getting very close to the Hatchery on a massive swell ride. I couldn't see in front of me, and I figured there must be some sailors immediately downwind in the crowded Hatchery zone. I was tired too, and so it was a good time to ditch and rest.

Those shots say it all. It was doing that all day long. Just glad I got out before lunch because at 3 my balls shrunk and I couldn't fathom trying to sail in those conditions. If only.... I have to say Pink Car could have been the Howard Cosell of Twitter yesterday if he was broadcasting.
