Who all has scheduled windsurfing events during the year? I can name a few:
o MOWIND - upper midwest
o TWC - Toronto Windsurfing Club
o SSC - Seabrook Sailing Club near Houston
o Calema - East coast of Florida
o Someone was recently discussing weekly races somewhere in California
Anywhere else? |

The StFYC on the San Francisco city front runs Formula races every other Friday from April through September.
The CalCup series is run once a month from Berkeley YC on the Olympic Circle
+ theres 4-5 other annual races that the StFYC host for the formula fleet.

North Texas Windriders in conjunction with Mariner Sails in Dallas, TX host two regattas each year. Texas State Championships last weekend and the Pumpkin Cup in October. Normally about 30+ racers in about 5 fleets.

In Quebec, (Eastern Canada) there's a windsurfing challenge: a mixture of slalom and long distance raids. Because of our inconsistent winds, it is based on waiting periods with several possible spots in the list and about 5 events planned in the summer.

There's also a Quebec Cup Circuit with 5 stage and some RS:X and T293 windsurfing along the more popular dinghy races. (Optimist, Laser, etc...) |

For western WA. the Puget Sound area - the greater Seattle area...
we do our annual "City League Race Series". It's every Wed evening in May and June. This series has been going on every year since 1979 or '80.
Back in the day, people drove from all over western WA... and a few drove up from Portland, OR... for this weekly series.
Now it's just a handful from the greater Seattle area.
Last night, was typical... 9 racers.
But, two weeks ago we had 14.
Sometimes only 6.
We're trying to "keep it going"
Usually a mix of longboards... light winds... 5 - 15 mph stuff.
ALSO, we do other events - more fun races... and free clinics.. and a marathon higher wind race around Mercer Island every Oct. - etc.
