Be forwarned, home boom regripping while inexpensive, is a
somewhat arduous, messy task, and requires some skill to get right.

I have regripped many booms. These days, I would be inclined to
have it done. Actually, these days, by the time I need new grips,
I need new booms.

A few years back I had Derek at Delta Windsurf Co. do my Maui Sails carbon wave boom with the Chinook black grip. The job turned out great, and the durability of the Chinook grip material is outstanding.

If you elect to have Derek do it, I would recommend giving him a few weeks to do the job. I dropped off my boom at the end of one of my Delta trips, and then had him ship the boom to me once the job was complete. Fortunately, I had a spare boom to use while the work was being done.
