I think your mast is a Fiberspar Reflex 3200. With a IMCS bend characteristic of 12.8 the mast would fall into the constant curve category.

Thanks, nice find. Yeah 3200 is correct.

Its odd/amusing but after 2 pages we dont STILL know the size of the 2006 Ezzy Infinity, only its larger than a 5.8m

Constant curve goes to 12

13 --15 is CC flex top

go figure where 12.8 goes, its closer to CC flex top.

I really think that without cams the sail in question , if it wants a 460 on the spec, will work ok on this mast, good as ANY 6+yo sail

Glad you are amused, sail is a 7.0

The real answer here is for me to just try it out. Never having used cams before, what will I experience if the mast curve isn't working?

With a wrong curve, the bottom cammed batten will not rotate easily (you may have to pop it over, the top of the sail will be extremely floppy while the middle and lower sail will have a very full belly, and the bottom batten may have an s curve in it. None of this is conductive to
good feel when the sail is powered up. On the water , the sail will feel
heavy, will be twitchy in gusts, and feel unstable overpowered.

I am not a fan of cams, but in that sail, you should put them in.

rig the sail in your yard, see if it rotates with the cams, play with it some if it doesnt seem correct I would remove the cams.

for 90 i would accept some deficiency in its performance.

does this have a pulley on the bottom or a grommet ?

a side note it way look good or bad on the beach the real meaning is how it does on the water.

would appreciate an update once tried.

Just a grommet, I'd like to get a pulley.

Here are some overdue pics:

Wow! You guys weren't kidding about David Ezzy. I sent him an email and he got back to me a few hours later! What a guy!

Here is his response to the mast question:

Quote:
Your 7.0 will work perfectly with the 460 Reflex 3200.

Do you still have the extra cams and cam pockets that came with the sail?

The rigging instructions are on the web. The cam system is still the same, so you can reference the Lion rigging guides as well as watch the latest Lion video to aid you.

He also recommended a chinook pulley.

One more thing. You may want to de-tension all of the battens a little before you start to rig it the first time. Then tension them according to the instructions.
