Thanks for the encouragement and advice Doug. I think I made a good buy and can't wait to try things out.

Thurston,
If you have any problems or questions, just contact them directly. Tim Ortlieb or David Ezzy will get back to you pretty quickly.

Sounds like you got a great deal!

I'd suggest doing all of the measurements for the cams and cam pockets on a day before you plan on using the sail. It takes a little time for the initial set up, and you want to get it right.

If there isn't a detailed rigging and tuning guide in the sail bag, go to the Ezzy website, print it, and take it with you. It takes about 2 minutes longer to rig the Infinity than it does to rig a camless sail IF you follow the instructions. If you don't follow the instructions, it can be a struggle.

I have a small sample set to work with, but the 3 folks I've seen use these sails without the cam didn't like them. 2 of them sold their sails for dirt cheap to folks who put the cams in, and loved them.

i posed an additional reply , that got lost in cyberspace.
yes ezzy will offer support . the 7.5 that i had worked best for me with no cams, on a sdm powerex .

if you use the cams, the mast should be one that is a similar to ezzys, constant curve, if not then you can expect rotational problems.

you can write and receive a reply from david within a day or less.

david@ezzy.com

i hope this works out for you.

I have a 30% carbon Fiberspar Quicktip 460/25. I'm having trouble finding whether or not it's a constant curve mast.

ezzy first masts were based on fiberspar curve. This is a RDM?

I had a 430, but more carbon than 30%, I would say its a 12, constant curve. and try it

even when fiberspar sold here, they did not like to disclose the curves.

All masts are constant curve since 1995 or so.
Some have softer tops, some have softer bottoms, Gaastra and No Limitz, but all are CC.
Flex top died in the mid 90's.

I think your mast is a Fiberspar Reflex 3200. With a IMCS bend characteristic of 12.8 the mast would fall into the constant curve category.

Its odd/amusing but after 2 pages we dont STILL know the size of the 2006 Ezzy Infinity, only its larger than a 5.8m

Constant curve goes to 12

13 --15 is CC flex top

go figure where 12.8 goes, its closer to CC flex top.

I really think that without cams the sail in question , if it wants a 460 on the spec, will work ok on this mast, good as ANY 6+yo sail
