I've heard what jingebritsen has said about it, but I'm curious what other folks who have ridden it think about its flatwater planing, wavesailing, and SUP abilities.
Also, IMO Exocet really needs to take a page from AHD's book with how AHD advertises their SeaLion boards with tons of videos and blogs and stuff. It's pretty much impossible to find action shots or videos of any of the exocet windsups: 11'8, 10'0, 10'2, 9'2... _________________ James' Blog: Windsurfing Equipment Size Calculator

skyking. either is good for a wide range of applications. the 11'8" will allow the lightest wind to about 15-20. still works, just becomes quite a handful to work a wave compared to its light wind potential. when wind becomes quite good for a 100ish liter board, it's time to park the 11'8.
10 footer needs a bit more wind to grab waves, and handles higher winds before it too needs to be parked in favor of a 90ish liter board.
they both plane early, can help one use the dagger to go explore upwind, etc. _________________ www.aerotechsails.com

I'm seriously thinking of buying the Exocet WindSUP 10'2 (150L) but I'm a bit worried about the weight for the AST construction.
It is listed as 13.9 kg on the Exocet website. Some comparable boards like the Starboard Element (148L) and the AHD Sealion XL (150L) weigh 10.47 kg and 10.50 kg, respectively. |
