Hi Everyone,

I'm going to Guincho beach in Portugal this summer for a week
and am trying to find some decent windsurfing gear for rent.
It does not seem to be an easy thing to find.
I'm thinking 85 liter FSW board and sails from 5.0 to 5.5.

Anyone have any leads/info on this?

I've only found a Starboard center but it's on the southern tip of Portugal-350ish kilometers away. ( a bit too far for just a week)

Thanks.

Greg

We stayed here last fall:
http://dolcecascaisguesthouse.com/guest-house.html
Nice friendly place to stay in Cascais.
The owner set us up with a guy that rents from his van in the parking lot on the windsurf side of the beach. Pretty good stuff.

Also there is a small surf shop beside the hotel on the beach. The fellow running it said they rented gear.
Someone at the hotel might know the contact info for the shop.

We went empty handed and had no trouble working out gear.
No details, hope this helps.

@Gregorvass,
No,
One of the links I provided is a Hotel the other is a B&B.
The both serve food.
Don't be fooled by the pretty pictures of the food.

The surf shop I referred to is separate. But I do not have its name.

Try an email to these guys, they might be able to get you a contact for rental.

If the hotel states that it has a "world class restaurant" I assume there is a restaurant there. No?

Yes, but since it was the hotel that stated that there was a world class restaurant there then I would deduce that the hotel is there as well. You know, like at the Holiday Inn where they have a restaurant inside. Not like a Motel 6 where it is just a motel.

Oh, and you guys figure it out.
I'll be sailing.
See you on the water somewhere.

Thanks everyone for your input Airwave.
I found a place in Lisbon on the beach near the mouth of the Tagus river
that rents good up-to-date JP equipment called Elisiario.

Looks really cool.

Thanks again.

Greg Very Happy
