Might have been one of those days where you could launch from the Marina and sail to the "Sailing Area"??

Go a report from someone that sailed launching from HH.
20-30 with occasional huge 40mph gust. Typical mtn. lake sailing with plenty of holes.
Probably have to wait another 10 years for a Santa Ana like that one!

Maybe so but but the point is, in a SA the Lake may be sailable from the current launch points without the huge "up-wind slog" . Typical SA has winds about half of what we saw last time in the LH area. Might be worth a "look see".

YOU dont need no steenking Hodges...We do need a midteen or better place to sail all summer long....it is far from perfect,no doubt. But being HOURS closer than Cabrillo makes Hodges a no brainer for many other people.Better to see and appreciate the positive aspects of windsurfing than the negative. If someone is not interested in adjusting to local conditions ....go elsewhere
Enjoy cheap $4.00 gas while you can...if that is the solution...move elsewhere too. Chirping about conditions is not a solution, adjusting is.
We have had wind from 12 to 40 kts almost everyday for two months...I have sailed 41 of those days. All within 21 miles of my home...that is a blessing, not a curse.

Geeze, kellygeygan, take it easy! Little joke on the name is all! I've sailed there, and it was very pleasant, albeit light wind & a short reach.
