The Thursday night Lake Washington Longboard Series is underway. We had our first race last Thursday in 6-10 mph winds gusting to about 13 mph. All sailors were using 7.5 size sails. If you have an old longboard & would like to race on Thursdays in West Sacramento, come on out for the fun. Next race is this Thursday, May 8. First race starts at 6 pm. You do not need to be a member to race.

Take Harbor Blvd. South towards the port off of the Lincoln Highway 50/80/305. Harbor Blvd dead ends into Industrial Blvd. at the Port entrance. Turn right on Industrial and immediately get in the left lane. One block up on the left you will see a gate entrance which is Boathouse Rd. Turn left into that entrance than make a quick right and follow the road until you get to the lake.
The picture shows the yellow gate that you enter.
Here is the web page.

Great thank you Do you have to be a member of the sailing club? I am also interested in video taping some of the race.

No, you do not have to be a member to race. I've also been videoing the races by attaching my Gopro to the committee boat for the starts & finishes.

Cool pic. I recognize that sailor Glad you made it to the open house. Thursday is shaping up to be similar or better wind so the races will be much more interesting.

Doesn't look like we will get mid teens gusting to low 20's like last Thursday, but forecast is still good enough for longboard racing. See you at 6 pm.
