|

For those with US-Box quads and twins the Chinook Fin Fast is a gift from heaven.
That is , if , like me , you are in a often in a frenzy to rig in blowing wind, dust, bad light etc and getting the fins into ( or out off )a quad or twin becomes a fiddly PITA the you will love the fin fast...
Disclosure: I have not stress tested them with fin/rock impacts yet...

Talking to Chinook, they might even act like the old "fin savers". No guarantees, and this is a double edged sword. (if you know what I mean)

These are supposed to be more durable than the fin savers.

A classic PSC photo! That was exactly my predicament. Turning up at PSC mid-afternoon and its GOING OFF and then getting 4 fins in my quad. And then dropping the stupid fin tab/screw in the dirt...

Wow - I've loved many of my boards over the years, but not like that. I know Kevin is an awesome freestyler, but I didn't know he had a 69 in his bag of tricks.

"They" used to make steel fin tab nuts made that way. Fast, simple, and rugged. However, I've used fin savers for decades with only one release I can remember, on a rock, and it beat a dinged fin. I've hit many a chunk of debris without release.
