I just had a nice session on snowshoes and am going to retire to the couch to watch golf. Trees are a problem there too. Come on spring.

Puh-LEEZ!!! Endless skills to learn in kiting??? How many ways are there to go back and forth across the same piece of water? You can get air on a kite, but it certainly isn't jumping; more like watching an old man slooooowly get up from an easy chair. You can't jibe, you can't tack, and there's like....two tricks: watch me do my kite-loopy thing, watch me do my handle-pass....um...yeah, that's all we got. And the gear may not take up much room in your car, but it occupies ACRES on the launch site. How come I don't kite? Cause it looks BORING!!! If there's not enough wind to sail, I just stay home and do something else. BTW, this is a WINDSURFING forum, you'll never get any traction here mat-ty.
Now....who's a good kite-eating-tree???? nom-nom-nom......

You Mini bashers , seem to know as much about cars as you do windsurfing.
My 1961 Austin Mini Countryman, refitted with a Cooper S motor was faster than a E-Type Jaguar to around 100mph, kinda scary after that on 10" tires.
My 2012 gets 40+ MPG and is great fun on any road.
I dont use it for windsurfing. I have a van, and partial brain activity.

The new minis are huge compared to the originals. You must have needed a shoehorn to get that new engine in....

The original "classic " Minis were made from 1959--2000.
Engine size varied from 850cc--1275cc.
The new generation or retro MINI by BMW is entirely a different car,
it does retain its character.
The 1966 Monte Carlo rally, was won by a Mini Cooper S model, top 3 places actually, they were disqualified along with a total of 10cars, they had different filament light bulbs than standard.

I love my 110 Quad for light wind wave sailing long after the kites have fallen out of the sky!

It's got to be way easier. That's why there so many she-kiters.
I think I saw that on one of the kite websites I frequent for no apparent reason.
