With the current drought killing us and the season just around the corner I'm curious to know if anybody has any speculation on what the drought might do to this season's winds in SF bay and the Coast???? |

Might depend on March/April/May rain.
No growth in grass and shrubs from drought should heat up the valley, while not warming up the coast. |

Yeah, that's kind of what I'm thinking - I can see how hotter low pressure desert air will suck more wind through the gate. But I could also see how a greater temp differential could create a deeper marine layer with fog sucked deep into the bay. This may be great for places like third and the delta, but not so good for the coast and crissy. But I'm just guessing. It wouild be great if the meteorologists among us could weight in. |

If you're talking SantaCruz area, the years of deep fog and hot inland temps make It'sBeach, and all the spots in town work. Especially all of Windward1's spots, from Capitola Eward. |
