Regarding the not paying attention to the "risk/reward" factor ski runs, I found a page of notes I made on that ski trip. The notes included the number or runs, miles skied, time skiing, plus average speed and top speed (the same stuff I record on all of my windsurfing outings).
I am also not totally convinced that I broke 60 mph, but that's what registered.
I actually made speed runs over four consecutive days, all on the same run "See Forever":
Fri - 62 mph
Sat - 54.6 mph
Sun - 66 mph
Mon - 55 mph and 43.8 with my wife |

I was up on See Forever on Wednesday. I have a building under construction uo there. It looked really fast (icy in fact) but Tride just got a foot or so. Its dumping now! Face shot powder at Purgatory today! Your timing should be good!
I have never skied that run when it was uncrowded enough to let em run. My style is more the bumps on Lift 9 and the chutes on Gold Hill! Have fun! |

Doesn't have to be 60. You were still blasting.
Hats off! |

Nice use of Franz Klammer, must be the first time in 30 years that I hear that name. Agree on the speed issue. |
