Why should we fear government? We should fear politicians. Especially ones who preach less government but want to tell us...

who we can marry
who we can have sex with
whether we can have a kid
where we can put a church

These people are freakin scary! They are also the ones telling us how “hurricanes and Earthquakes are Gods work against blah blah”. How rape isn’t a problem, especially “legitimate rape”, how the “HPV vaccination causes retardation”. I could go on and on.

Oh I forgot that big lie Pueno brought up. How we put American boots on the ground, flew 4000 sorties, and decimated a Muslim country the size of Ohio that never even shot a B.B. gun at us. Way to think that one through. A guaranteed way to generate more extremists and “splinter groups” as George Tenet later testified. To spend $900 billion dollars on one bad guy? All because as George “W” said, “He tried to kill my father”. What are we in 2nd grade?

Frederick,

You have the right to marry anyone or anything you like, if you can find a church that will pronounce you Man and Whatever. You don't have a legal right to demand that the government legally sanction it without legislation to that effect.

Most states don't care whether or whom you have sex with, either, as long as it's a consenting single adult human. Any state that says that human must be of the opposite gender can go to hell IMO, and probably is not enforcing that law anyway. You're talking loons here, not enforced mainstream legislation. (I don't understand laws against bestiality, unless the beast moos, brays, or barks "Stop".)

I've never heard any U.S. law against having a kid. Even China's backing off on that nonsense now that the overpopulation myth has collapsed.

I have also never heard of limits on where a church can be built. Surely you can't be referring to the Ground Zero mosque, which is a whole 'nuther and totally political radical Islam F-U issue for very sound reasons discussed here long ago.

Yes, the fringe-squared loons attribute tragedies to divine retribution. So? It’s what thumpers do, and it’s harmless unless they affect elections and laws. Senator Barbara Boxer, however, blames hurricanes and tornadoes and maybe -- even lunar eclipses for all I know -- on AGW, and she influences FEDERAL LEGISLATION and potentially TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS. Now,THAT’S not only insane, but REALLY scary.

"Legitimate rape", "HPV", tin foil hats, WTC an inside job, the Illiterati, a missile hit the Pentagon … could go on and on and on … internet, BSNBC, and liberal talking points loon stuff. No one I know buys any of that crap.

As for pueno, look at his body of work here. He doesn't WS; he's purely an internet stalker. He came here purely in an internet-wide pursuit of a WSer named Bruce who, using dozens of screen names under which he argued with himself, probably posted more than I do. That bothers pueno, alias Oneup (get it? "pueno" backwards), who is obsessed with harassment, even dragging details of Bruce's legal and mental records into play. Bruce died last year, leaving pueno/oneup with more time to focus on me. No rational people pay any attention to him, as truth is of no value to him. It’s too bad, as he seems intelligent when he isn’t just spewing rhetoric like this or trolling to get people’s goat.

The Iraq war has been beaten to death here and elsewhere. SEARCH the forum with key words such as Kurds, WMD, Saddam Hussein, etc. You'll find much more than pueno's one-sided paragraph.

Isobars, it's a good portion of your base and it is not “nonsense” by any means as you say. We both know it. Difference is, you look the other way because of fiscal stuff. ... I would rather pay 15% more taxes and have all those people off the planet. ... Basic human respect out weighs money every time.

What about that $900 Billion dollar war stuff I / pueno mentioned? Ooops? Sorry, just obliterated a Muslim country that never pointed a squirt gun at us. Any wonder why those extremist have us in their sights? Mike, your a smart guy, how do you deal with bees? Do you spend $1 trillion rattling the biggest nest on the planet and watch them all scatter as they tell their friends? Or, do you quietly dispose of the one or two bad bees with good technology while no one is looking? It was 19 guys with razor blades for Christ sake. The Navy Seals were on horses in Afghanistan looking. Nothing to do with $1 trillion spent blowing up Iraq.

And a good sized portion of your base supports the NAMBLA, open borders, socialism, communism, the GDACLU, the Sierra Club, Obamacare, doubled minimum wages, intolerance of religion, teachers' unions, Michael Moore and Babs, Hillary Clinton, the war on Christmas, and an endless freak show procession of people, goals, and agencies which oppose the goals and values of the men that built this nation. Your intolerant side want to censor them and kick them off the planet; mine wants to outvote them to neutralize their threat.

I "look away" from countless things and people, including atheists, abortion, gay marriage, twerking, Hollywood, the Oscars, rap/rock/movie/sports stars, sports, the Olympics, the murder of the week, the mall shooting of the week, Oprah, individual stocks, fashions, diet fads, religion, the Pope, beer, empty political speeches, BSNBC, internet trolls, personal attack dogs [the antithesis of " basic human respect"!], bling, scrawny runway models, anything or anyone that claims to be "cool", dishonest people, magazine and TV ads, telemarketer calls, zombies knocking at my door wearing ties and carrying books, the Kardashians, anyone quoting bible verses as proof of anything, anecdotal evidence, tweets, and dozens of the other irrelevant (IMO) folderol that seem to fascinate so many millions of people.

I also thank God they are wrapped up in that crap instead of taking up space on the good swell. I try to displace all the time others devote to such stuff of their choosing to things that matter to me, personally, right here in River City, which almost none of the above does. That goes WAY beyond "fiscal stuff", and certainly includes the Left's socialist agenda and its threat to the economy, health care, national security, and our global hegemony.

I'm honestly torn on the question of using war vs snipers to get national leaders like Saddam Hussein, who at last count was responsible for the death of more Muslims, with both warfare and WMD, than anyone else in modern history. International accords prohibit assassinating heads of state, and that game goes both ways.

Mikey, you love to scream "Benghazi, Benghazi" when you should be screaming, "Iraq, Iraq."

Why don't you?

Anyway, I find it rewarding that I annoy you so much. Very Happy

Of course, you have no way of knowing because you can't read my posts.

Right? Wink

[quote="stevenbard"]Sorry to say Slinky, but both president Bush and Obama put our men through the meat grinder for almost nothing.[/quote

Could not agree more steven. Obama has been a huge disapointment, promising change but delivering more of the same. I see him as Bush light.

It's not a matter of like or dislike. It's a matter or having only 24 hours, 7 days, and 12 months in my days, weeks, and years, and having to prioritize that time.

And, believe me, I'm working on the obvious. Smile

LOL!
I picture peeeuuuno spending all day long, everyday, going from one political thread on some website, to other political threads on other sites, as his self proclaimed job. Sometimes I wonder if he gets paid.
I also see him as having some very looooong arms, it must be hard and tiring carrying buckets full of Obama water all day long, but somebody has to do it I suppose.
He's obviously not part of the 71%.
