Where are you planning on doing your wavesailing?

Various locations along the coast of Nova Scotia. I know some locations that provide good side-shore/side-onshore conditions.

I first started wave sailing with my Tabou Rocket 125. I've taken it out in chest high waves, maybe bigger back then. Also everything below that.

This isn't the best board to wave sail. The straps are useless for real wave sailing, they're too far out. It's too wide as well. You won't be able to carve the wave with it, at least not as well as with a dedicated wave board. The board's designed to go in a straight line. It works OK out of the straps in waves but you'll keep wishing that you had the straps more inboard. So you can plane and carve the wave without losing your footing.

Learning to wave sail costs money. Don't drop your sail in the shore break. In fact, stay the hell out of it no matter how nice the wave looks there. Smile I've cracked boards, extensions and damaged sails. And yet, I now live/dream for the next day that I get to wave sail. Worth every penny. Smile
