12/2/13: The pole our system was attached to had to be reconditioned and repainted. We temporarily removed the station and hope to have it back up and running by the end of December. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Very suprised that it would take that long to recondition the pole and paint it. I was at Kanaha yesterday and everyone I know that subscribe to the service was very disappointed. What's up iwindsurf? We do pay a good fee for the service.

Hi Slambo,

We don't own the lightpole or the property on which our sensor is located (see image below). To the owners it is just another pole of many that they will recondition and paint on their own schedule. To us it is really important, to them it is not a priority.

We had to bear the cost of sending technicians to remove the sensor so it is not damaged and later to reinstall the sensor after the pole is remounted. Neither is a trivial task. But the day the pole is remounted we will have someone putting the sensor back up and then IT guys in FL will soon have it back on line.
